Half term was an exciting time for us here at Stir Krazy! We went on a foodie world tour, sampling delicious recipes from around the globe on our 'Cooking from Around the World' workshop adventure.
Our Harrogate Stir Krazy Kids kicked off our world tour with a trip to Greece; the land of olives, tzatziki and mystical mythology! We cooked up some delicious Lathenia (an authentic greek pizza), celebratory Greek biscuits, as well as fabulous flatbreads with a cool, refreshing tzatziki dip.
The next day, we were all aboard again, this time stopping off in the Caribbean. Although there wasn’t a beach in sight, we took a zesty, culinary adventure through the islands with a zingy pineapple cake, firey reggae reggae nachos with a fresh tomato salsa, and a herby mango salsa – the perfect accompaniment to any Caribbean chicken or fish dish.
Our Gateways Stir Krazy Kids workshop finished the tour with a trip down under. Luckily, we didn’t spot any kangaroos in the kitchen, but some inspirational, international treats were definitely on the cards! From Vegemite pastry swirls, to traditional biscuits and delicious lamingtons, our budding chefs really did us proud by creating such a ‘bonza’ feast!
We hope you all had as much fun as we did on the Stir Krazy World Tour! We’re expanding the Stir Krazy Kids culinary adventure to new venues, including Ilkley, Thirsk and York. Keep your eyes peeled for a venue near you, where the creative cooking continues!
Our summer workshops are already filling up quickly, so don’t hesitate to book a place for your child for our new cookery themes.
If you have any questions or news to share, please do get in touch, and we’ll look forward to seeing you over the summer!
